Our Story
Southend Wanderers Football Club was formed in 2024 by Tony and Vicky Hollick. With many years of experience within grassroots football they decided to start their own club in which they could foster an environment that followed the beliefs, ethos and philosophy which they felt so passionately about.
Determined to start the club the right way, all the parents were invited to come together and a club committee was formed.
​Having a strong female influence across its committee and teams, and with coaches who champion the female game, it was no surprise that plans were soon put in place for the club to increase female football provision in the local area with Weetabix Wildcats (5 to 11 year olds) and Squad Girls (12 to 14 year olds) sessions.
Southchurch High School was selected as the venue for all the clubs training sessions (including Weetabix Wildcats and Squad Girls sessions) and its home games
